Professional Liability Insurance through AIM

At TACS, we work with Association Insurance Management Inc. to offer professional liability insurance to our member school districts and their employees at a reduced rate.

Unfortunately, educators are increasingly the targets of lawsuits brought by unhappy parents or students. Having liability insurance can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.

Who is Eligible?

Most full-time employees of the public school systems including teachers (substitute, visiting, or intern teachers), administrators, interpreters, band/choral directors, coaches, curriculum directors, department heads or chairs, librarians, principals, assistant principals, superintendents or associate or assistant superintendents, educational aides, and other professional service providers.

Any employee of a TACS member district is eligible for a reduced rate on AIM insurance through their partnership with TACS!

Why do I need this insurance? Doesn’t the school carry insurance for teachers?

Although school districts have insurance coverage to cover the school district, you may not have individual coverage should you need to hire legal representation for yourself.

A primary reason to purchase your own coverage is to ensure protection in situations your school can’t or won’t defend you in. If you are wrongfully terminated, accused of a criminal action, have disagreements over tenure, salary, or leave of absence, the school insurance policy won’t protect you.
