Rules & Procedures
In order to successfully apply for the Texas Association of Community Schools Scholarship, the student must complete the scholarship form accompanied by a one page letter to the committee, whereby the applicant indicates why they have chosen their career goal and how the scholarship will help them attain that goal.
*In order to be eligible for the Texas Association of Community Schools Scholarship the applicant must be a graduating senior majoring in education.
The student’s application should be submitted via the online application OR with a postmark no later than March 16th, 2024 to the TACS office in Austin (address below)

Applicant shall confine their responses to the space available on the form.
All entries received by the deadline will be forwarded to the TACS Scholarship Committee.
The TACS Scholarship Committee will screen all applicants and select a recipient.
If for some reason the awardee cannot fulfill the obligation; the scholarship will be awarded to a runner-up.
The TACS Scholarship Committee will announce the selection by April 29th, 2024.
If selected as a recipient,
The student will need to email a picture of themselves to TACS, as well as a photo of you receiving the award.
The winning student will be presented a scholarship certificate at their school.
The selected student must provide TACS with college enrollment veification no later than September 1st, 2024.
The scholarship check will be sent to the student’s college in their name.
