conventions, officer campus, events, meetings, and LCJLS (Lee County Junior Livestock Show)
meetings. This person should be able to, with the teaching team, manage a comprehensive
agriculture program that includes a variety of agriculture course offerings. The departmental
Programs of Study include:
● Environmental and Natural Resources
● Plant Science
● Animal Science
● Applied Agricultural Engineering
Primary classroom responsibilities will include: Small Animal Management, Equine Science,
Livestock, Advanced Animal Science, and Practicum in Agriculture. Flexibility in course offerings
aligned with a coherent sequence is available.
Individuals should be able to credentialed students in Industry Based Certifications related to
the coursework.
Teaching credentials should include: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a

Job Description:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree from a regionally accredited university required. Superintendent Certification required. Five years of experience as Superintendent required. Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and management in a supervisory or administrative role. Demonstrated knowledge of school budgets and finance. Demonstrated ability to align programs to support high achievement for all students. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage the implementation of complex, multi-phase plans. Develop and implement a clear and strong two-way system of communication and collaboration with LEAs and across Center divisions Provide timely and accurate responses to questions from LEA personnel in regard to options available for supporting the operation of the LEA. Provide assistance to LEA executive leadership in identifying resources, products, and services available from ESC-20, the Texas Education Agency, and other sources to support efforts to improve student achievement. Provide leadership and direction in the design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of programs and services that support the strategic transformation process for LEAs. Analyze actions of the State Board of Education, State Legislature and the Texas Education Agency to define specific implications for LEAs. Assist in identifying emerging needs in LEAs and establish a communication system for sharing information with ESC-20 staff. Design and implement a process for maintaining client profiles for each LEA. Design and deliver school board training to address state requirements and needs of LEAs. Coordinate Superintendent of the Year, Board of the Year, and annual TASA Superintendent Breakfast meeting. Ensure connections are established between divisions and other Center services to maximize client support.
