CLASSIFICATIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
A community school is defined as school districts having 12,000 ADA and below. That means that our membership comprises the small, mid-sized and rural school districts in Texas.
Why Join TACS?
Institutional Members are community school districts or Education Service Centers.
Associate Members are persons interested in improving education through the community schools concept.
Professional Members are employees of a (non-subscribing) school district which is eligible to become an Institutional member of the Texas Association of Community Schools.
Affiliate Members are educators or groups of educators wishing to pursue public school interests.
Honorary Life Members may be chosen by a vote of the Executive Committee of the Texas Associations of Community Schools in recognition of distinguished service to community schools. All nominees shall be screened and recommended by a special committee appointed by the President.
